DAVID GORDON'S BACH LECTURES

Secrets and Signposts
A listener's guide to
understanding a few of
the inner workings
of Bach's greatest
liturgical masterpiece.

Throughout his long career as a performer of Bach's music, David Gordon has been active nationally as a master class teacher, clinician, and lecturer.

Now celebrating his 20th season with the Carmel Bach Festival, David originally came to Carmel as Evangelist in the St. John Passion, and was a principal tenor soloist for nine Festival seasons. In 1998 he became a member of the artistic staff as the Bach Festival's first Education Director and Vocal Coordinator. Since then, David has developed the Festival's summer Vocal Master Class program, serves as ringmaster of the Festival's 60+ free events each summer, and presents nearly all the pre-concert lectures.

By popular demand, David is publishing his vivid Bach lectures on audio CD. These enlightening and entertaining talks are great for newcomers, and equally fascinating for experienced listeners.

Each CD is about one hour long, and filled with insight, humor, and fascinating historical details and anecdotes.
