As soloist, lecturer, and master class presenter, he has appeared at every major north American Bach Festival, and at Bach festivals in Europe, South America, and Japan. With every client, David shares his good humor, his artistic insight, and his first-hand understanding of vocal technique and singing onstage. David is on the senior artistic staff of the Carmel Bach Festival. As Director of Education he creates the summer Festival's 50-event series of lectures, seminars, and audience enlightenment events. He also serves as vocal coordinator for the entire Festival ensemble, and leads the Adams Vocal Master Class, the Festival's nationally renowned training program for young professional singers. David Gordon has served on the music faculty of Sonoma State University and the University of California, Berkeley. He maintains a busy private voice teaching studio in Carmel, California, where he lives with his wife Ginna, an artist.
